SYMPTOMS

When you are using the Report Wizard to create a report and you are prompted to specify the sort order for your records, the Summary Options button may not be present in the sort-order selection dialog box.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if there is no numeric data in the query or table on which the report is based, or if you do not add any grouping levels in the Report Wizard.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, make sure that you include numeric data in the report's data source and that you add a grouping level after you select the fields that you want to include in the report.
