Steps to Reproduce the Problem

  1. Start Visual Studio .NET. On the File menu, click New, and then click Project. Under Project Types, click Visual Basic Projects. Under Templates, click Windows Application.
  2. On the Project menu, click Add New Item, and then select Crystal Report in the Templates list. Name it sub1, and then click Open.
  3. In Crystal Report Gallery, select Using the Report Expert and Standard (the default), and then click OK to load Standard Report Expert.
  4. On the Data tab, configure a data source for the report. For example, you can double-click OLE DB (ADO), and then configure a data link to the Northwind.mdb database. Expand Tables, and then insert Orders_Details into the report. Click Next to continue.
  5. On the Field tab, click the Add All button to add all the reports, and then click Finish.
  6. Repeat steps 2 through 5 to add another Crystal Report to the current project, and name it Sub2.
  7. Add a third Crystal Report to the current project, and then select Subreport in step 3.
  8. Select the Orders table in step 4.
  9. In step 5, click Add All, and then click the SubReport tab.
  10. On the SubReport tab, click Choose a report, and then click the Browse button to open the Sub1 report that you created in step 2 in this Windows application folder.
  11. Click the Link tab, switch back to the SubReport tab, select the sub2 report by browsing to Sub2, and then click Finish.
The Visual Studio .NET IDE disappears or the Just-In-Time Debugging dialog box is displayed.
