This article describes the methods that you can use to create a system policy that disables the journaling of certain items in Outlook 2002. You can configure the Journaling feature in Outlook 2002 to record many different Microsoft Outlook events, including the following events:
  • E-mail messages
  • Meeting requests
  • Meeting responses
  • Meeting cancellations
  • Task requests
  • Task responses
Journaling all of these events can adversely affect the performance of your computer and can consume excessive amounts of your hard disk space. You can configure a system policy to disable the journaling of each of the previously mentioned events individually.
