SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to start the BizTalk Server Orchestration Designer on a computer running Microsoft Windows XP, the following error message may occur:
Problem in General.startVisio
Error Number: -2147319779
Error Description: Automation error
Library not registered.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, uninstall and reinstall Microsoft Visio 2002.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in BizTalk Server 2002 and Visio 2002.
