SYMPTOMS

You may see the following error in the BizTalk Server Application log when BizTalk Server experiences a database connection interruption:

The error does not contain any detailed information. The error HRESULT of 0x8004d019 indicates this is an XACT_E_ABORTED or "transaction aborted" error.

If this error occurs by itself in Event Viewer, it means that BizTalk Server experienced problems enlisting in a transaction because the transaction may have been aborted. If the database connection interruption is temporary, BizTalk will reprocess the message and create a new transaction when the database connection is restored.

In case of a temporary database connection interruption, you can regard this error message as an informational message.
