You receive error messages when you try to connect to a Distributed File System (DFS) link that is mapped to a subfolder. For example, you may receive an "Invalid parameter" error message if you run the following command:

dir \\DfsServer\Share\DfsLink

If you double-click a folder in a shell folder against the DFS server root share, you may receive the following error message:
Title: \\DfsServer\Share
Text: \\DfsServer\Share\DfsLink is not accessible.

The parameter is incorrect.
DFS path (with link):

\\DfsServer\Share\DfsLink

DFS link target:

\\servername\sharename\folder
