PRB: DCOM 10005 Error Messages When You Create Clusters or Add Members (310877)

When you create an Application Center 2000 (AC2000) cluster, or when you add a member to an AC2000 cluster, you may receive one or more instances of the following DCOM error message in the Microsoft Windows NT system event log:

Description: DCOM got error "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. " attempting to start the service ACCLUSTER with arguments "-Service" in order to run the server:{<GUID>}
CAUSE
When you create clusters, or when you add members, AC2000 tries to start the ACCLUSTER service and tries to configure the service at the same time. If AC2000 tries to start the service before the service has been configured and turned on, this DCOM error occurs. The service startup tries again, and startup succeeds after the ACCLUSTER service is fully configured.
RESOLUTION
This behavior can occur during typical cluster creation or member addition operations and can be ignored. This informational event does not imply that the behavior has any negative impact on the operation or performance of Application Center 2000. However, if you receive this error message during typical cluster operation, you should investigate it.
