PRJ2000: Error Message When You Install Microsoft Project Upgrade: Qualifying Product Could Not Be Found (310444)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to install the Microsoft Project 2000 upgrade, you may receive an error message similar to the following:
Qualifying product could not be found.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if no earlier version of Microsoft Project is installed on your computer. This scenario can occur if you uninstall your earlier version of Microsoft Project before you attempt to install the upgrade.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, insert the CD-ROM from the earlier version of Microsoft Project into your computer's CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive, and then use Windows Explorer to navigate to the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.
