BUG: Windows XP Media Player Control Rebuffers When uiMode Is Changed (310352)

SYMPTOMS

The Windows XP Media Player control rebuffers when the uiMode property is changed. This does not occur in previous versions of the player control.

CAUSE

The window state is lost when the uiMode property of the player control is changed. Buffering is necessary when you switch between windowed and windowless settings.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
