BUG: Media Library COM Component Unloads Unexpectedly (310323)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to release a media library Component Object Model (COM) component that has unexpectedly unloaded in Windows Media Player version 7, an access violation may occur in the Wmpcore.dll file.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Windows Media Player 7.

This problem was corrected in the Windows XP Media Player.
