A Deadlock in the LDAP Client May Cause the Exchange 2000 MTA to Hang (307462)

The Microsoft Exchange 2000 message transfer agent (MTA) may stop processing messages from its Outbox. If you attempt to stop the MTA, it may seem to stop responding (hang) and not shut down properly.
CAUSE
This problem is caused by a deadlock situation in the LDAP client (Wldap32.dll).
