SYMPTOMS

Memory that is consumed by Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (Msdtc.exe) continues to increase while it is running under long periods of stress. Normally, you notice the memory consumption after you receive continuous messages for more than 24 hours.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft COM+ Rollup Hotfix 16. For additional information, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
