ACC2000: Trying to Run Report Wizard Causes GPF in HPBFBB1.drv (306143)

This article applies to a Microsoft Access database (.mdb) and to a Microsoft Access project (.adp).

SYMPTOMS

If you attempt to run Report Wizard while the default printer is set to a Hewlett-Packard (HP) LaserJet 8100 Series PCL 6 printer, you may receive the following Dr. Watson error message:
MSACCESS caused a general protection fault in HPBFBB1.drv at 000006:00000005e

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you are using an older version of the HP printer driver (Hpbfbb1.drv), which is incompatible with Access 2000.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, download and install the newest printer driver for the HP LaserJet 8100 Series. Visit the following Hewlett-Packard Company Web site:
