The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
This article was previously published under Q305699 SYMPTOMS When you attempt to import a custom .inf file into a
security database by using the Security Configuration and Analysis snap-in, you
may receive the following error message: Not enough
storage is available to process this command. Import Failed
CAUSE This error can occur if many changes are required on a
single object in the database. The Microsoft Jet database engine does not
allocate the memory for the version store until it is used; it reserves the
memory addresses during the startup process but does not commit the memory
until it is needed. WORKAROUND The value that manages the maximum number of pages is a
fixed value of 128 pages. To work around this issue, split your .inf template
file into several smaller files.
