Screen Saver Appears While You Are Using a Joystick to Play a Game (304852)

SYMPTOMS

While you are using a joystick to play a game, your screen saver may turn on as if there is no activity.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because using a joystick is not detectable as activity.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, deactivate the screen saver:
  1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Display.
  3. On the Screen Saver tab, click the Screen Saver arrow, and then click (None).
  4. Click OK.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
