OFF2001: Error Message When You Start Microsoft Project 4.0 After You Install Office 2001 (302585)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to start Microsoft Project 4.0 for the Mac after you have installed and started a Microsoft Office 2001 for Mac program, you may receive the following error message:
The file 'Standard OLE Types(PowerMac)' cannot be found or contains a Visual Basic for Applications library that is not valid.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur because the libraries used by Microsoft Project 4.0 are updated with different versions after you have installed Office 2001 for Mac.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, remove and then reinstall Microsoft Project 4.0.

MORE INFORMATION

If you are prompted to select the Finder during the re-installation, continue the installation without following the instructions in the message. If you select the Finder, the installation may quit on newer operating systems.
