This article explains how to configure Entourage 2001 to place the cursor before the text of the original message when you reply to or forward a message, rather than below the text of the original message (which is the Internet standard).

To change the default cursor placement for all messages that you reply to or forward:
  1. Start Entourage.
  2. On the Edit menu, point to Preferences, and then click Mail and News.
  3. Click the Reply & Forward tab.
  4. Under Mail Attribution, click to select the Place insertion point before quoted text check box, and then click OK.
To change the default cursor placement for a specific message:
  1. Start Entourage, and click the message that you want to reply to or forward.
  2. On the Actions menu, click either Reply, Reply to All, or Forward.
  3. When the message opens, click in front of the original message text to change the placement of the cursor.
