This article describes how to manually install the Small Business Server 2000 (SBS) Connector for Post Office Protocol 3 (POP3) Mailboxes component. You may want to install this component if you did not install the component when you installed SBS 2000, or if you uninstalled the component.

To manually install the Connector for POP3 Mailboxes component:
  1. Place the first SBS 2000 CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive.
  2. When the Small Business Server 2000 Setup dialog box is displayed, click Setup Up Small Business Server.
  3. Click Next, click Next, and then type the administrator password in the Automatic Logon Information dialog box.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Click Next, click Next, and then click Next.
  6. In the Component Selection dialog box, click to expand Small Business Server, and then click to expand Connectivity.
  7. In the box that is next to Connectivity, click Reinstall.
  8. In the box that is next to the POP3 connector, click Install.
  9. Click Next. In this dialog box, you can view the components that are about to be installed.
  10. Click Next, and then insert the third SBS 2000 CD-ROM when you are prompted to do so.
  11. After the file copy procedure is finished, click Finish.
