STOP 0x000000D1 Error Message When You Run Compaq Teaming (302400)

SYMPTOMS

While your Compaq server that is using a fast Ethernet network adapter and teaming driver (Cpqteam.sys version 6.20.620.0 and earlier) is running, you may receive the following error message on a blue screen:
STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x00000000, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
"DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"
This issue only occurs when the network adapter is configured to use the Cisco Fast EtherChannel (FEC) method of port bonding.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, obtain and install the SoftPaq SP16407 for Compaq Fast Ethernet and Gigabit NIC drivers version 6.20a update from the following Compaq Web site: Microsoft provides third-party contact information to help you find technical support.
