SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to change a picture by using a command in the Picture Options bar, you may receive an error message similar to the following:

PIP caused an exception 10h in Pitasks5.dll

CAUSE

This issue can occur in the following situation:

You are using a Hewlett Packard printer.

-and-
The printer is using an outdated or incompatible printer driver.

This problem is known to occur with the Hewlett Packard InkJet 2250 printer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install an updated driver for your Hewlett Packard printer. Hewlett Packard printer drivers can be obtained from the following URL:
