PRB: DBCS Characters Do Not Display Correctly in PIP Administrator (301207)

SYMPTOMS

When you run the Partner Interface Process (PIP) Administrator, Double Byte Character Set (DBCS) characters may be displayed incorrectly in the Global Business Action Code and Global Process Code fields.

RESOLUTION

These fields in the Global Process Indicator Code should only contain the values listed in the RosettaNet Implementation Framework (RNIF) 1.1 specification, which are all English phrases.

This behavior is by design.

When you use the 3A2PriceAndAvailability PIP, the Global Process Indicator code is 3A2, the Global Business Action code is Price And Availability Query, and the Global Process Code is Query Price and Availability.
