OFFXPDEV: Workflow Designer: Zoom Command Is Not on the View Menu (301083)

SYMPTOMS

The "Viewing and Printing the Workflow" Help topic includes a subtopic named "Zooming the Diagram." This subtopic refers to a Zoom option available on the View menu. However, this command is not on the View menu.

RESOLUTION

The Zoom command is available only when you right-click the design surface. In addition, the maximum zoom size listed in the Zoom dialog box is only 200%.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Office XP Developer.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

  1. Install Microsoft Office XP Developer.
  2. Open Help.
  3. Locate the "Viewing and Printing the Workflow" Help topic. Locate the "Zooming the Diagram" Help subtopic.
  4. Locate the "To zoom to a specific size" section. Note that this section mentions the Zoom option available on the View menu.
  5. In the Microsoft Development Environment, create a new SQL Workflow project.
  6. Click the View menu. Note that there is no Zoom command on the View menu.
  7. Right-click the design surface. Click the Zoom command. Note that the maximum zoom size listed in the dialog box is only 200%.
