Icon Does Not Change After a File Is Associated with RealPlayer Basic 8 or RealJukebox 2 (300817)

SYMPTOMS

After you associate a multimedia file (such as an .mp3 or .wav file) with the RealPlayer Basic version 8 program or the RealJukebox version 2 program, the file icon does not change. However, if you double-click the file to play it, the file runs in the program you chose, either RealPlayer Basic version 8 or RealJukebox version 2.
