SYMPTOMS

After you install a program that modifies the Windows 2000 Active Directory schema or manually modify the schema, you may experience an increase in replication network traffic. The following informational event may also be logged in the Directory Services event log:

Description: A schema mismatch encountered while replicating object CN=domain,CN=,CN=domain,CN=domain,DC=MYDC,DC=MYDC from server ,GUID._msdcs._domain.com. A schema sync has been queued and sync on DC CN=Configuration,DC=MYDC,DC=com will be retried after the schema sync.

CAUSE

This problem can occur if schema inconsistency failures occur during synchronization until the schema cache is reloaded.

RESOLUTION
