SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to create an operator in any one of the Notification Groups, the address look-up function does not work when you click the browse button on the e-mail address line.

If no default mail configuration is set up, you may receive a prompt to set one up. However, after you set up the default mail configuration and then click the browse button, the address look-up function still does not work.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, follow these steps:
  1. Expand the Rules node, click Notification Groups, click the appropriate group, and then double-click for the operator name.
  2. Click the Email tab.
  3. Click to clear the Email this operator check box.
  4. Click Apply, and then click OK.
  5. Double-click again for the operator name.
  6. Click the Email tab.
  7. Click to select the Email this operator check box.
  8. Click the browse button on the e-mail address line.
