Error Message Appears When You Add Computer That Is Outside of Firewall to Managed Computer Rules (300348)

When an agent is manually installed outside of the firewall, you may receive the following error messages:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: OnePoint Operations
Event ID: 21171
Description: The Agent Manager was unable to determine the Primary Domain Controller for domain AGENT while resolving the Managed Computer Rules. This domain will not be processed.
System error code: 2453
System error text: Could not find domain controller for this domain.
CAUSE
This error message appears because the Agent Manager is unable to identify the primary domain controller (PDC) for the domain while the Agent Manager is resolving the Managed Computer Rules.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, add the agent's name to the following file
InstallDir\OnePoint\ManualMC.txt
where InstallDir is the installation directory of Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM).
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
