SUMMARY

Inconsistent information may be reported by the following two views in the Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) Administrative console:

Monitor\Public Views\IIS\Discovery\Computers Running IIS

Monitor\Public Views\IIS\Discovery\IIS Version

These two views may report different numbers of computers.

This behavior is by design. The two views have different purposes.

The "Computers Running IIS" view shows the computers that are running Internet Information Server (IIS).

The "IIS Version" view shows the versions of IIS that are present in the managed group. This view is an attribute-based view that includes all computers that have a particular attribute, regardless of whether they are being monitored.
