MOM Does not Include Product Identification in Support Information Under Add/Remove Programs (300332)

SYMPTOMS

When you install Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM), Setup requires that you enter a 25-character product key, and Setup records a 20-character Product Identification (PID). This PID is not subsequently displayed in the Support Information portion of the Add/Remove Programs tool in Control Panel.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, right-click the Microsoft Operations Manager (Default) node, and then click About Microsoft Operations Manager.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
