When you try to import a Management Pack into Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM), you may receive the following error message:
The specified file is not a Management Pack file.
Result code: 800406ca
CAUSE
This behavior can occur because MOM does not check before the import to be sure that the file that you are importing is in fact a valid Management Pack file.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
