The Mapsids.exe sample provides two stored procedures, sp_sidmap and sp_prefix_sysusersname, which will help you to map the security identification numbers (SIDs) between the user database and the master database after a database moves between two different SQL Server servers as the result of a detach followed by an attach or a backup followed by a restore.
