This article was previously published under Q298887 SYMPTOMS
After you configure a Microsoft Exchange Server e-mail account in Outlook 2002, you cannot modify the Exchange Server name or the User Name text boxes in the account properties even though the text boxes have not been disabled.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because the text boxes are enabled (meaning that you can click to place the cursor in the box) by design, but you cannot change the information in the text box.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, remove the Exchange Server account and create a new account with the appropriate account properties.
For more information about Adding and Removing E-Mail Accounts, click Microsoft Outlook Help on the
Help menu, type e-mail account in the Office Assistant or
the Answer Wizard, and then click Search to view the topics
