SYMPTOMS

When you use an upper case preference sort order, the uppercase characters and their corresponding lowercase characters are treated as the same character when they are sorted.

RESOLUTION

SQL Server 2000

MORE INFORMATION

This occurs with Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 golden, Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1), Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 Service Pack 2 (SP2), and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 In Microsoft SQL Server 6.5, the data is sorted as expected.
