OL2002: The Single Task Context Menu Is Missing Menu Items (298702)

SYMPTOMS

When you highlight a single task in the Tasks folder and then right-click the task, the menu does not display the Mark as Read or Mark as Unread, and the Move to Folder menu items.

WORKAROUND

Use one of the following methods to work around this problem:

Use the Edit Menu


Use the following steps to use the Edit menu:
  1. Highlight a single task in the Tasks Folder.
  2. Click Edit, and then select the desired menu item.

Use a Customized Toolbar


Use the following steps to customize your toolbar:
  1. Click View, point to Toolbars, and then click Customize
  2. Click the Commands tab, and then click Edit under Categories.
  3. Drag the desired menu item to the toolbar.
  4. Repeat step 1 through step 3 for each menu item, and then click Close

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

The Mark as Read, Mark as Unread, and Move to Folder menu items are available when you have more than one task selected.
