This article describes the database products and versions that you can use with Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM).

MORE INFORMATION

MOM currently supports SQL Server 2000 (Standard or Enterprise Edition) database server in a Typical installation. MOM does not support the use of named instances of SQL Server 2000.

If you do not currently have a version of SQL Server 2000 installed, the Express installation of MOM installs the Microsoft® Data Engine (MSDE). MSDE supports up to 2 gigabytes (GB) of data and has a running query connection limit of five, which limits a MOM Express installation to 10 monitored computers.
