Backup.txt
The Backup.txt file includes information about how to set up, use, and remove the Microsoft Backup program. This file is located in the Add-ons\Msbackup folder.
CDInfo.txt
The CDInfo.txt file includes information about the CDinfo.exe tool. CDinfo.exe is a tool that can determine the ability of a CD-ROM drive to
successfully read a disc. The CDinfo.txt file is located in the Tools\pssutil folder.
Cine12se.txt
The Cine12se.txt file includes information about Cinemaster 1.2 hardware-based decoder used with your DVD drive and player. The cine12se.txt file is located in the Drivers\DVD\cine12se folder.
Cleanhd.txt
The Cleanhd.txt file includes information about installing Windows Me
onto a New Hard Disk. The Cleanhd.txt file is located in the Win9x folder.
Credits.txt
The Credits.txt file includes the credits for those involved in the Microsoft Interactive CD Sampler. The Credits.txt file is located in the CDSample\extras folder.
Display.txt
The display.txt file includes information about how to configure and correct problems for available drivers and how to obtain additional display drivers. The Display.txt file is located in the Add-ons\document\textfile folder.
Dosrep.txt
The Dosrep.txt file includes information about the Dosrep.exe tool. The Dos Report Tool is used by support and development engineers to make Windows more robust by fixing the problems you report. When you submit a report, the tool takes a snapshot of your computer settings and selected system and application files. The Dosrep.txt file is listed in the Tools\pssutil folder.
Eng_eula.txt
The Eng_eula.txt file includes the End-User License Agreement information for Microsoft Software. The Eng_eula.txt file is listed in the Cdsample\extras folder.
Eula.txt
The Eula.txt file includes the End-User License agreement information for the Terminal Service Client software. The Eula.txt file is located in the Add-ons\tsclient\mstsc\win32 folder.
Faq.txt
The Faq.txt file includes Answers to frequently asked questions about Windows Me. The Faq.txt file is located in the Add-ons\documents\textfile folder.
General.txt
The General.txt file Provides information about startup problems, the programs that come with Windows Me, disk tools, disks and CDs, drivers, and removable media.
This file also contains last-minute information received too late to
include in the other readme files. For example, if you have a question about a printer, it would be helpful to look in General.txt as well as in
Printers.txt.
The General.txt file is located in the Add-ons\document\textfile folder.
Hardware.txt
The Hardware.txt file includes information about known problems and workarounds for hardware. You may also need to refer to Printers.txt or Mouse.txt for specific problems. The Hardware.txt file is located in the Add-ons\document\textfile folder.
Hdblock.txt
The Hdblock.txt file includes information about programs that may not allow the Windows Me setup program to access certain areas of the hard drive. It also includes information about setup error SU0409. The file is listed in the Add-ons\document\hdblock folder.
Install.txt
The Install.txt file includes information about how to install Win32 Terminal Services Client. The Install.txt file is located in the Add-ons\tsclient\mstsc\win32 folder.
Intl.txt
The Intl.txt file includes information to help you install and configure Pan European regional settings. The Intl.txt file is located in the Win9x folder.
Ipp.txt
The Ipp.txt file includes information about how to install and use the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP). The file is located in the Add-ons\ipp folder.
Irdasir.txt
The Irdasir.txt file includes information about how to install an external serial infrared adapter. The Irdasir.txt file is located in the Tools\pssutil folder.
Mouse.txt
The Mouse.txt file includes information about known problems and workarounds specifically for mouse and keyboard problems. The Mouse.txt file is located in the Add-ons\document\textfile folder.
Netgear.txt
The Netgear.txt file includes information about how to install the Netgear FA310TX 4.02 drivers. The Netgear.txt file is located in the Drivers\net\netgear folder.
Network.txt
The Network.txt file includes information about installing and running network clients, services, and network interface cards. The Network.txt file is located in the Add-ons\document\textfile folder.
Printers.txt
The Printers.txt file includes information about known issues and workarounds for printers. The printers.txt file is located in the Add-ons\document\textfile folder.
Programs.txt
The Programs.txt file includes information and workarounds for running some specific Windows-based and MS-DOS-based programs with Windows Me. The Programs.txt file is located in the Add-ons\document\textfile folder.
Pssutil.txt
The Pssutil.txt file includes information about the following .inf files:
- IPAC_OFF.INF - Disable TCP/IP IP Autoconfiguration.
- IPAC_ON.INF - Enable TCP/IP IP Autoconfiguration.
- NNT.INF - Remove the Namenumerictail Value from the Registry.
- PTXT_ON.INF - Sends Plain Text Passwords to Your Network Server.
- PTXT_OFF.INF - Sends Encrypted Passwords to Your Network Server.
- REMFDMA.INF - Disables FDMA on PCI-ISA Bridge Devices.
- ADDFDMA.INF - Enables FDMA on (Some) PCI-ISA Bridge Devices.
- WMREMOVE.INF - Remove the Winmodem Registry Entry.

Update.txt
The Update.txt file includes information about the MWAVE modem driver for the IBM ThinkPad Model 600, 600E, 770X and 770Z. The Update.txt file is located in the Drivers\modems\IBM folder.

The Winrep.txt file includes information about the Window Report Tool. The Windows Report Tool is used by support and development engineers
to make the Microsoft Windows operating system more robust by fixing
the problems you report. When you submit a report, the tool takes a

files.
