SYMPTOMS

You may experience unusually long logon times and difficulty accessing directory services to locate users and resources.

CAUSE

This issue may be caused by "hits" on the domain controller that are initiated by Windows 2000-based SQL clients that are using an integrated logon process. In this article, "integrated logon" refers to clients that are authenticated in the domain and on the SQL back end with a single logon process.

RESOLUTION
