When you attempt to open a FrontPage Web on a Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) server, you may receive the following error message:
Server Error: Could not get a read lock for Microsoft Internet Information Server cached info.
CAUSE
This issue can occur when you perform maintenance on the server that requires that you restart the server and you have not yet restarted the server.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, shut down and restart the IIS server.
