SYMPTOMS

The Web Log Import Data Transformation Server (DTS) task may not save information about a particular server that was configured in the Web Log Import DTS task.

CAUSE

In Commerce Server 2000, if the log files are unavailable for any reason during the creation or execution of the package, the server's configuration information is not saved to the package.

WORKAROUND

Make sure that the Web log files are always available before you configure or run a package.

RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Commerce Server 2000. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Commerce Server 2000 Service Pack 1.
