PRB: Removing the Everyone Group May Cause a Failure in Application Center 2000 Replication (296157)

SYMPTOMS

If the Everyone group is removed from content folders or files, then the following error may occur during replication:
EventID: 5064
Path: %path to folder%
RemoteServer: %server%
ReplicationID: %cluster name%
ReplicationJobID: %job id%
Status: 0x80070005
StatusMessage: Access is denied.
DisplayName: Replication Session DriverEvents ActionListTransfer SendFileFailed

CAUSE

The Application Center Synchronization Service logs on as the local SYSTEM account and may not have the proper NTFS file system permissions to replicate the content.

RESOLUTION

Grant the local SYSTEM account full control to the effected content files and folders.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
