Cancel Button Does Not Work When You Add a Managed Computer Rule (296001)

SYMPTOMS

While you are working in the Agent Manager Properties dialog box, the Cancel button may not work correctly. If you click Add to add a Managed Computer Rule and then click Cancel, the cancelled Managed Computer Rule may still be present when you reopen the Agent Manager Properties dialog box.

You may encounter the same behavior if you modify an existing Managed Computer Rule and then click Cancel.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, delete the unwanted Managed Computer Rule by reopening the Agent Manager Properties dialog box, clicking the Managed Computer Rule, and then clicking Delete.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
