OL2001: Two Calendar Links for Birthdays Are Created in a Contact (294599)

If you create a contact with an entry in the Birthday field and subsequently edit the contact's birthday entry, a second calendar link is created in the Notes body of the contact and the edited birthday link to the event remains on your calendar. The problem also occurs with anniversary dates in contacts.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, manually delete both the extra link in the contact Notes body and the event on your calendar.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
