SYMPTOMS

If you use the Hewlett-Packard (HP) DesignJet 750c printer, you may not be able to print custom page sizes for your Microsoft Visio drawings. Visio reverts to using the page size of the drawing, which remains set to 8.5-by-11 inches.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, upgrade to the latest version of the HP DesignJet 750c printer driver, which you can download from the Hewlett-Packard Web site.

To temporarily work around this problem, set the custom page size by using the Printers icon in Control Panel. If you set the custom page size for your system as a whole, Visio uses the correct paper size.
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Printers.
  2. Right-click the HP DesignJet icon, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu.

NOTE: If you are using Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows NT, click Printing Preferences, otherwise continue to the next step.
  3. Click the Paper Size tab.
  4. Click More Sizes.
  5. Select one of the custom paper sizes next to Name.
  6. Enter the custom paper size that you want.
  7. Click OK to close each dialog box.
