PPT2002: Locked Motion Paths Can Be Moved (293182)

If you set the Path property for a motion path animation effect to Locked, you can still move the line that specifies the motion path.
CAUSE
The Locked setting does not lock a motion path animation effect to a specific place that you cannot change on the slide. Instead, the Locked setting tells PowerPoint not to move the path when you move the corresponding object that has the animation effect applied.
The following table describes what happens when you move the object or the path, based on whether the Path property is set to Locked or Unlocked:

RESOLUTION
Although you cannot lock the motion path to a specific location on the slide, you can prevent other people from moving your paths (or making any other changes to your presentation). To do this, save your presentation so that it requires a modify password.
