FIX: Cannot Change DirectMusic Sampling Rate in InitAudio from 22 kHz (291097)

SYMPTOMS

You set the sampling rate in DirectMusicPerformance8::InitAudio, but this does not change the default sampling rate, which remains at 22 kilohertz (kHz).

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, upgrade to DirectX Software Development Kit 8.1. For more information and a download link, see the following Microsoft Web page:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

This problem was corrected in DirectX Media Software Development Kit 8.1.
