The Terminal Server Clients May Be Unable to Install the Mail Certificates (290605)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to install mail certificates from Terminal server client computers, you may be unable to complete the installation process. The final dialog box that prompts you to confirm the installation may not be displayed in the client terminal session; instead, the dialog box may be displayed on the console of the server (session 0).

RESOLUTION

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the product(s) listed in this article.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, install the mail certificates from the console of Windows NT Server version 4.0, Terminal Server.
