FIX: HTTP Connection Resets Session ID of an ASP Session Object (290562)

SYMPTOMS
When you use an HTTP connection to connect to Analysis Server from an Active Server Pages (ASP) page by means of the Office Web Component, the session ID of the ASP Session object may be reset, so that a connection is not allowed from an Office Web Component (OWC) such as a Pivot Table Control when Internet Information Services (IIS) is configured to use Basic authentication. When the Pivot Table Control attempts to connect, you receive an "Access Denied" error message from the.
CAUSE
The Office Web Component initiates its own session using WinINET and the does not share the HTTP session of the container.
