ECS: Error Message: Sorry! Content Advisor Will Not Allow You to See This Site (290544)

SYMPTOMS

When browsing to the Encarta Class Server Student Web page the following error message appears:
Sorry! Content Advisor will not allow you to see this site.
This page may contain some or all of the following:

This page does not have a rating.

CAUSE

The Content Advisor in Microsoft Internet Explorer is selected. Content Advisor will not allow access to any sites that do not have an RSACi rating.

RESOLUTION

To allow student access to the site add the URL for the Encarta Class Server to the list of approved sites. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Start Internet Explorer.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  3. Click the Content tab.
  4. Click Settings.
  5. If you are prompted to enter the Supervisor password, type the password you created when you initially set the Content Advisor options and then click OK.
  6. Click the Approved Sites tab. In the Allow this Web site box, type the URL (Uniform Resource Locator) of the Encarta Class Server. For example, type http://<servername>/.
  7. Click Always. The URL appears in the List of Approved and Disapproved Sites.
  8. Click OK to close the Content Advisor dialog box.
  9. Click OK to close the Internet Options dialog box.
