XCCC: Error Message "The Participants Value Is Not Valid" When You Configure the Number of Meeting Participants (288630)

SYMPTOMS

When you create a resource mailbox, if you type 0 in the Limit number of meeting participants to box, you receive an error message. The error message that you receive depends on whether you are configuring the Data Conferencing Provider or the Video Conferencing Provider:
  • If you are configuring the Data Conferencing Provider, you receive the following error message:
    The Participants value is not valid. Please specify a value between 0 and 9999.
  • If you are configuring the Video Conferencing Provider, you receive the following error message:
    The Participants value is not valid. Please specify a value between 1 and 999,999.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, type a number that is greater than zero in the Limit number of meeting participants to box.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
