SYMPTOMS

Windows Media Player 6.4 does not send a log request to the content server if the content duration is less than one second.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, use Windows Media Player 7 or later. You can download the latest version of Windows Media Player from the following Microsoft Web site:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmedia

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

This behavior is by design in Windows Media Player 6.4.
