OL2001: Delegate Cannot Access Items That Are Marked As Private (288520)

SYMPTOMS

A delegate for another user cannot view items that are marked as Private even if the delegate has been given permission to view Private items.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because changes that are made to delegate permissions do not take affect until Outlook is restarted.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, close and restart Outlook.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
